Ouija Board Instructions

There's no real strategy to a game with a board full of numbers and letters, but some argue that Ouija is hardly a game. Instead, it's a tool used for communicating with the other side. Ouija boards come in all shapes, sizes and some even glow in the dark. Concentrating on your questions and being serious about the process may bring answers to you. Because there is so much unknown with the spiritual world and the communication with these boards, exercise caution when using one.

Instructions

  Dim the lights to set the mood before play.

  Remove any dust particles or moisture by wiping the board down with a dry cloth.

  Set the board up on a small table within reach of the rest of the players. There must be at least two people to play the game. If there are only two people playing, sit opposite each other, but if more people are playing, just sit around the board.

  Place the planchette (the heart-shaped piece that sometimes has a clear round hole at its point) in the center of the board.

  Put your fingers onto the planchette along with the fingers of all the other players. Place your fingers on the planchette lightly, without putting pressure onto the piece.

  Concentrate and ask a question of the spirits. This question needs to be agreed upon by all the other players. Ask the question slowly and speak clearly.

  Wait one to five minutes for the planchette to start moving. If it doesn't start moving in the allotted time, try asking a different question. The planchette could point to different letters on the board, spelling something out, could point to the numbers on the board or could point to the "Yes" or "No" indicated on the board.

  Continue asking questions and see if the planchette moves around the board or not.

  Move the planchette to the "Goodbye" position once you are finished.
