Word Wanderer
This brain game, created by Posit Science, is designed to help test your memory and ability to form new words out of a series of letters. You start the game as Jack from the fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk. From here, you must navigate through a series of mazes and puzzles by building words. The goal is to place 50 letters on the board before you run out of time. As you improve, the game will automatically increase the difficulty level by supplying you with fewer letters.
Picture STM Game
This memory game is designed to specifically test your short-term memory. After clicking on the screen, a series of images will appear. The images will stay on the screen for thirty seconds. Try and remember as many of the images as you can. Once the images disappear, write on a sheet of paper the names of as many of the images as you can remember. Once you are done, click the link to see the picture again. Keep track of how many images you remembered.
The "Bad' Memory Game
The bad memory game starts with a series of 20 cards, facing away from you. After pushing start, your point total, which starts at 10,000, will immediately start to decrease. As a result, you must attempt to match cards in pairs of two that have the same image on them. Continue to flip them over, remembering which images were in what places to complete the game. The faster you complete the game, the higher your score.
60-Second Brain Game
This 60-second brain game is designed to test your ability to make correct decisions with respect to conflicting information. As the game begins, a specific amount of characters will appear on the screen in conjunction with a verbal number. If the number and amount of characters correspond, push the space bar. If they do not, don't do anything. As the game progresses, the numbers and characters will appear at a faster and faster pace.
