One perk of buying classic games is that you can usually find these games at garage sales or thrift stores for much cheaper prices than you would pay in retail stores. You can also find these classic games on websites like eBay and Amazon.
Card Games
Retail stores carry several trading card games based on popular TV shows for boys. Shows like "Yu-Gi-Oh!," "Pokemon" and "Bakugan" produce trading cards that can be kept, traded or played with, depending on what your son likes to do. Some of these card games come with additional parts, like card holders, binders or toys to play the game with. Boys will enjoy collecting and playing with these cards and trading with other boys who have cards as well.
Video Games
Video games will interest almost any boy. Consoles like the Xbox 360 and the Wii sell several games aimed at boys, since boys provide a lucrative market. Sports games like "Wii Sports," "We Ski and Snowboard" for the Wii and "Kinect Sports" for Xbox 360 are an option for active boys who love sports. Role playing games, such as the "Mario" games for Wii and "Lego Harry Potter" for Xbox 360 are games that boys will enjoy.
Online Games
Several sites either include games exclusively for boys or base their entire website on games for boys. Usually, these sites do not require a membership to play, but will allow boys to play a variety of games for free with no hassle. However, it is a good idea to make sure parental locks are installed on your computer and that you monitor your child's computer play time.
