Field Games
Teaching teamwork and sportsmanship to children of any age is absolutely essential, and field games provide a good platform to achieve that. Field games promote physical fitness, which develops strength, speed and body control. Sports such as football, baseball, hockey and rugby may be suitable for a Bible camp. Introduce games such as relay race, sack race, Frisbee, capture the flag or tagging, for which, you will need a large area of land and more than eight to ten players. Field games help children socialize.
Water Games
Water games are excellent for summer Bible games. Swimming is typically the most popular sport in Bible camps. Tubing, canoeing, snorkeling, diving, boating, water trampoline, water skiing, water tug of war, water polo and water rugby are also among popular activities that help children stay physically fit and active.
Nature Exploration Games
Nature exploration games let children appreciate nature, keep them interested and active in camp activities. Take students to hiking trails, if available in the area. An adventurous scavenger hunt will facilitate learning, where you can ask students to find a couple of natural objects in the area and write short informative notes about them. Also consider mountain and trail biking. Exploring nature will bring students closer to God since they will be able to learn and appreciate His creations.
Other Activities
Outdoor activities such as rock climbing, paintball, archery, horseback riding and go-karts are also exciting games for students at a Bible camp. You may also want to consider introducing skateboarding and mini-golf. These games will fulfill the purpose of a Bible camp, which is to facilitate learning and introduce hands-on participation of students in a variety of activities.
