Letters
Users should choose letters carefully and request a new shuffle if the original letters are not generating high scores. The ideal shuffle of letters usually does not include hard-to-use letters such as Q, Z, and X. Letters that typically appear in most words are E, T, D, or R. The ideal selection of letters usually includes popular suffixes such as "ING and ED." Adding a suffix can increase a score by making a word longer. Words such as "triangle" are good to use because it includes eight letters and a combination of words can be made from it. For example, words that can be shuffled from "triangle" are alerting, integral, altering and relating. There are also many seven-letter words that can be made. It is not always possible to use all eight of the letters, but using as many as possible will increase scores.
Time
Achieving the most points possible in the shortest amount of time is key to increasing scores. A score consists of the eight longest words made, so short ones will not count at all. A long list of short of words will not generate a high score, so it is important to make as many long words as possible. Words are not counted in the order they are placed, but rather by their length. The longest words are only replaced if a longer word is created.
Length Bug
A generalized bug in the game prevents certain eight-letter words from counting. Using seven- to eight-letter words whenever possible and just move on if some words are not accepted. The user should not waste time if a letter does not count since completing the game in a short time is vital to a higher score. The eight-letter words that create many other eight-letter word combinations and generate high scores are: underdog, remanded, sprouted, reacting and teardrop.
