Mystery Scavenger Hunt
Scavenger hunt games are designed for people to search for items on a list in a specific area. Give each team a copy of the same list of items. The items on the list will be used together to solve the mystery. For example, have items on the list that make a musical drum. Items listed will include a type of bucket and type of stick. The mystery will be solved when the team finds a bucket and a stick and uses the two together to make music. The first team to find the items and use them together correctly will win the mystery scavenger hunt.
Puzzle Piece Hunt
Use a common area large enough to hold all members of each team to host a puzzle piece hunt. Create a drawing on different colors of poster board for each team. Cut the poster board into pieces that can be hidden around the room. Assign each team a color, and have them search for all of the pieces of the puzzle you have created. Teams must find all pieces of their puzzle, and then put the puzzle together correctly first to win the game. Have a space for each team to display its completed puzzle.
Index Card Clues Game
Start the index card clue game by informing teams of a hidden object. Provide teams with their first index clue card. This first card will lead teams to another index clue card. Provide multiple hidden clue cards before directing teams to the hidden object. Direct teams to specific locations on the index cards. Do not disclose the exact location of hidden cards or the hidden item. Allow for the teams to investigate the area in search of their clue card or hidden object.
Lost and Found
In this game, you will tell each team that you have lost an item. Intentionally place the item you claim to have lost in area hidden to teams. Teams will listen as you tell them information about what you have done and where you have been in the area they will investigate. Do not divulge too much information. This will allow teams to ask their own questions as they play detective. Teams can ask you additional questions to solve the mystery of where the item is located. Answer all questions from teams. Teams will question you for information and go over details to find facts they can use to continue their search for the lost item until they have found it.
