A Bug's Life
Help Flik save Ant Island from evil grasshopper Hopper in Activision's "A Bug's Life" game, available for the Game Boy Color, Nintendo 64 and PlayStation platforms. Aside from grasshoppers, the game challenges players to battle enemies including beetles, cockroaches, flies, spiders and, stink bugs. Throw berries and bounce on enemies during battle. Seeds mature into plants and help players in their adventures. In Disney Interactive's "A Bug's Life: Active Play" PC game, players help Flik create a device to keep grasshoppers at bay and, in turn, prevent an invasion. Throughout the game, players must collect a button, card, feather, flower, mushroom and thimble, so Flik can complete his machine.
Grasshopper Mom
Players help a mother bring her kin back from the jungle in "Grasshopper Mom," accessible at sites like GirlGamesPlaza. Press the "Up," "Left" and "Right" arrow keys to fly in those directions. Upon seeing the children, press the space bar to send a signal and collect them. Players lose a life if they collide with the ground or rocks, and lose good health if magical flowers hit them with poisonous stings. To retaliate against the latter, press the "A" key and shoot poison. To replenish energy, sit on red flowers. Advance to the next level after returning the required number of children home. The game ends when players lose three lives.
Grasshopper Yuichi
Set an intergalactic jumping record in "Grasshopper Yuichi," found at sites like Fupa. Press and hold down the left mouse button to set jumping power, and then release the button to make the grasshopper jump. For short jumps, click the mouse button and let go quickly. Ensure that the grasshopper successfully jumps from platform to platform. The game ends if the grasshopper falls into the water.
Hidden Target Grasshopper
Find grasshoppers that have blended in with their environment in "Hidden Target Grasshopper," found at sites like Y8. Use the mouse to locate the grasshoppers and left-click the mouse to use the bow and arrow. Lose seconds off the clock for clicking wrong spots. Advance to the next level after finding the required number of grasshoppers before time runs out.
Leaf Hopper
Direct a grasshopper's jumping, and finish with one leaf on the screen in "Leaf Hopper," found at sites like Kongregate. Use the arrow keys to move the grasshopper from leaf to leaf. The grasshopper cannot jump diagonally or in the direction opposite to the one it just jumped. Advance to the next level if the grasshopper successfully lands on the last remaining leaf.
