Instructions
Lay the two ropes parallel to one another on the ground, ensuring that they are equal length.
Stand across from your turning partner at one end of the two ropes and pick one rope up in each hand. Your turning partner should do the same, as well, at the opposite end of the ropes.
Move apart from each other so that the rope creates a "U" shape, allowing the bottom of the "U" to touch the ground.
Bring your feet shoulder-width apart for better balance while turning.
Cross your right hand on top of your left hand, making sure that your wrists do not touch each another. Have your turning partner do the same. You can hold your wrists further apart to create a wider turn with the rope or closer together for a tighter, spiral turn.
Cross your left hand on top of your right hand, creating an "X" with your wrists, which should not touch during the movement. Have your turning partner do this as well. This will make the ropes turn in opposite directions of one another.
Repeat the motion of crossing your wrists on top of each other to create the spiral motion with your Double Dutch ropes.
