Games to Play With Animals of the Bible

Animals play an integral role in the events of the Bible, with popular stories such as Daniel in the Lions' Den, Jonah and the whale and Noah's Ark offering kids premises ripe for fun activities. Online and pretend-play Bible animal games give kids an opportunity to interact with the creatures that God made on the sixth day of creation.
  1. Bible Battle Game

    • Use animals of the Bible as weapons when battling icons from the Testaments in "Bible Fight," available at sites like Adult Swim. Players fight as Eve, Jesus, Mary, Moses, Noah or Satan, and battle the mightiest biblical icons if they make it to the end of the "Tournament" mode. Three characters use Bible animals for special attack moves. Eve uses the serpent of Eden as a whip, while Moses unleashes a rain of frogs. Noah releases the Dove of Hope's cousin to peck at enemies' eyes, and summons a herd of animals to trample opponents.

Daniel In The Lions' Den Games

    • Arrange characters from the story of Daniel in the lions' den in a cave setting at sites like A Kid's Heart. Click and drag to the den Daniel, lions, rocks and the angel that God sent to shut the lions' mouths. The largest lion roars when clicked. For time-telling practice, print out a free "Daniel" template at sites like Bible Story Printables. After cutting out all of the pieces, have players read the digital time on each lion and then place the corresponding analog time over the lions' open mouths.

    Jonah And The Whale Games

    • Take two different tactics toward Jonah games based on the prophet's run-in with a whale. Accessible at sites like Bible Society Youth, "Jonah and the Whale" challenges players to throw Jonah as many times as possible from the ship into the mouth of the whale. On the flip side, players help Jonah escape in "Jonah and the Whale Game," found at sites like Woodlands Junior School. Using the directional arrow keys, players avoid whales when they rise to the top of the ocean. Apples, inner tubes and fish give players power-ups. The game ends when a whale engulfs Jonah.

    Noah's Ark Games

    • Players bring animals to safety in "Noah's Ark," accessible at sites like Yahoo Games. Click animals to make a matching pair and advance to the next level upon matching all animals before the water level gets too high. Animals make their corresponding sounds when matched. Players similarly try to save animals in a game at the Miles Cooley site. While it rained for 40 days and 40 nights in the Bible, players only have 40 seconds to match all animals before time runs out and water fills to the top of the screen.

    Pretend Play

    • Kids can create adventures with Bible animals with play sets such as Fisher-Price's "Little People - Noah's Ark." The set contains a two-piece ark and animals such as bears, elephants, giraffes, lions, panda bears, rabbits, rhinoceroses, tigers, turtles and zebras. Other available play sets include Wild Republic's "Zoo Ark," as well as Anchor Distributors' "Daniel and the Lion" and "Jonah and the Whale."
