Rainbow Penny Toss
Draw a rainbow on the sidewalk or concrete. Place four or five small, black buckets at the end of the rainbow. Mark a starting line about 10 feet away from the bucket (adjust the line according to the age of the players). Give each player five pennies to try to toss into the buckets. Award a prize for each penny made in the buckets.
Baseball Toss
Place three large cans (canned food) in a pyramid shape on a wooden stool or table. Be sure you have a fence or board behind it to catch the balls, so you do not have to chase them each time. Mark a starting line about 10 feet from the cans, which you can adjust depending on ages. Give the players a rubber baseball to throw at the cans to try to knock them all down. If you do not have a rubber baseball, you can use a real baseball, but it might dent the cans. Award a prize to each player who knocks down all of the pins.
Balloon Stomp
Inflate several balloons and place a prize slip in each balloon. Write prizes, such as stickers, a pencil, temporary tattoos, small plush animal and a piece of candy, on the slips of paper. Place all the balloons on the ground and have each player select a balloon. The player has to step on the balloon and pop it to get his prize. You can also include some slips of paper that say, "Sorry not a winner this time."
Where's the ball?
You will need three colored plastic cups and a ping-pong ball or small rubber ball for this game. Place the cups upside down on a table and have a player stand in front of the table. Put the ball underneath one of the cups. Move the cups around and tell the player to keep an eye on the cup with the ball under it. You can move the cups slow for younger children and faster for older children. Have the player guess which cup has the ball under it. If she guesses correctly, she wins a prize.
