How to Fix a Cork Dart Board

While electronic dart boards are popular because of their easy upkeep and user-friendly interfaces, traditional dart boards made of cork are often cheaper and have a more classic aesthetic appeal to them. However, they do succumb to regular use's wear and tear and will require a little TLC from time to time. While minor issues like extremely dry cork can be fixed easily, if your board has a substantial amount of cork chunks taken out of it or mold damage, you may want to consider replacing it.

Instructions

    • 1

Wipe down your dart board gently with a damp cloth to get rid of any dust or dirt that has accumulated on the board over time.

    • 2

Lay the dart board down on a secure surface such as a workbench or basement table.

    • 3

Place the damp cloth on top of the dart board and leave it there overnight. Remove the cloth in the morning, and the cork should have naturally absorbed some of the moisture, returning it to playing form.
