Dancing Games
Get the party started with a dancing game for your kid's sleepover. You can play both "Musical Chairs" and "Freeze Dance" for a good time. To play "Musical Chairs," one person will play music and everyone dances around a circle of chairs. There should be enough chairs for all but one of the players. After a certain amount of time, the person controlling the music will shut the music off and everyone must find a chair to sit in. Another chair is removed, and the person who did not get a chair must control the music next. "Freeze Dance" is similar, in that everyone must freeze in their spots when the music stops and refrain from laughing. Anyone who laughs will have to control the music next.
Truth or Dare
"Truth or Dare" is a fun game for a sleepover with kids of any age. To play, each person in the group must choose to truthfully answer a question or perform a random dare. If a person chooses "Truth," they must answer a question like, "what is your most embarrassing moment?" If they choose "Dare," they must do an activity like run outside screaming the name of their crush.
Charades
If the party is getting too loud, a game of "Charades" can quiet the group down slightly. This game requires that one person act out a word or phrase on a list using gestures only. The rest of the group must guess what the person is trying to act out. The person who guesses correctly will be the next to act out a new word or phrase. Words for this game can include book or movie titles, places or people.
Twister
"Twister" is a game that boys and girls of all ages can play together for tons of fun at a sleepover. Game play requires a twister board and mat. One person will spin a twister board, which has colors and body parts listed on it. The arrow will land on a color and body part simultaneously and the person in charge of the spinner will call it out. For example, the person might call out "Left foot, green." Everyone will then place their left foot on a green circle on the board. Whoever is left standing the longest wins the game.
