Bible Toss
Use a miniature Bible to play this game that relies upon Biblical knowledge with your Sunday School class. Each person will begin with 10 points. Arrange your class in two rows and begin by giving one person a Bible. She must recite a Bible passage from memory and then toss the Bible to the person across from them. The person who receives the Bible must state where the passage came from before citing her own passage. If the person in unable to name the passage, she will lose a point. The winner is the person with the most points at the end.
Bible Jeopardy
Modify the game of jeopardy to reflect a Biblical theme. Choose five to eight biblical categories and create 10 questions under each category, ensuring that each question is more challenging than the last. Categories can include "The 10 commandments," "Genesis," or "The Four Apostles." Dive your class into groups of three and label them team one, two and three, respectively. Allow each team to choose a category and question to answer. If a team answers the question wrong, they will lose the amount of points the question is worth. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Sunday School Feud
Model this game after television's Family Feud. To play, divide your team into two groups and tell them that each person will be required to answer a question. Read off a Biblical event or term such as "Noah's Arc" or "The Last Supper" or "Revelations." One team will have the opportunity to state at least five terms or names associated with the event or category. If they are unable to, the opposing team can state a term or name to steal the points from the other team. The team with the most points wins.
Fruit Basket
This game can be based on the 10 Commandments or the Fruits of the Spirit. Each player must choose the Commandment or fruit of the spirit they will represent. Arrange chairs in a circle so that there is one less chair than there are players. Have a player stand in the middle of the room and call out a Commandment or fruit of the spirit. The player who has chosen that term must get up and move to an empty seat. The player left without an empty seat will stand in the middle of the circle now. There will be no winner in this game.
