Board Games
Board games are great to play with your spouse. It is a familiar format and you probably have a few games lying around your house, especially if you have kids. There are lots of different board games to choose from, so you should be able to find one that interests you and your partner. Popular choices include chess, Scrabble, Monopoly, checkers, cards and Clue, to name but a few.
Video Games
Many households have some form of game console and video games often offer a two-player option. Several modern game consoles have wireless, motion sensor controllers, which are simple to use and entertaining. There are lots of options, you can play virtual tennis, golf, bowling and other sports against your partner. There are also games where you fight each other or driving games where you can race against your spouse.
Physical Games
Usually, you should play physical games outdoors, as they require more space. These are active games, where you need to run, race or use your body. Physical games often work best with more than two people, so you could invite other couples over to play. Fun physical games include the wheelbarrow race, three-legged races, tug of war or egg-and-spoon races. You could also play simple games such as dodgeball, softball or volleyball.
Truth or Dare
You and your spouse can discover secrets you may not know or have had the courage to ask, by playing Truth or Dare. It is a simple game, where you take turns in choosing either "truth" or "dare." If you choose "truth," your spouse asks you any question they like and you must answer truthfully. If you choose "dare," your spouse will think up a dare for you, which you must perform. This can include dares of an adult nature, if you and your partner both agree.
