Arithmetic Dice Game
This is an arithmetic math game for kids. The game requires a pair of dice and some flash cards. Write down addition, subtraction and the other arithmetic operations on the cards and put them into a bag. The child has to first pick a flash card and then roll the dice. If he picks addition, then he has to add the two numbers. If he gets it right, he gets another chance to play. The child who manages to get the most answers right is the winner.
Prime Number Hunt
Write all the numbers from one to 50 on a chart. It is not necessary to write them in order, you may jumble the numbers up. The goal is to cross out all the prime numbers in the chart. Set a time limit for each child to make the game more competitive and fun. The child who manages to cross out the maximum number of prime numbers gets the most points.
Multiples of Four
This game is a great way to teach or brush up children's multiplication table knowledge. Make all the children sit in a circle. A player starts with the number one. The next player will say the subsequent numbers. But, each time they arrive at a number that is a multiple of four, they'll have to clap instead of saying the number out loud. If a player calls out the number instead of clapping, he is out. The game continues until there is only one player remaining. The multiples can be changed as per preferences.
Percentage Flash
This game of calculating percentages can be played by groups or individual players. Remove all the face cards from the deck and shuffle. Decide on the percentage to be calculated, say 50. Go around and let the children pick out two cards from the deck. They will have to add the two numbers they pick and calculate the percentage in the stipulated time. If they answer correctly, they get to keep the cards. In the end, the group or individual with most number of cards win.
