Indoor Teen Games

If you are planning a party for teenagers and stuck indoors due to inclement weather, be sure to create several indoor games the teens will love. From icebreakers to humorous games, get teens socializing and enjoying the time they have to spend inside. Use your imagination a few supplies to plan games that are easy to set up and will not create a large mess in your home.
  1. Feet Sheet

    • Hang a sheet in a door frame and leave a 6 inch gap at the bottom. Divide the players into two teams and have one team stand on the backside of the sheet. Tell the players to take off their shoes and socks. One at a time a player walks up to the sheet revealing his feet to the other team. The team has to guess who the feet belong to. For every person the team guesses correctly, they earn a point. Switch teams and have the other team show their feet. The team who earns the most points wins the game.

    Mystery Food

    • Fill two small sacks with small pieces of food wrapped in foil, such as candy pieces, chocolate, pieces of raw onion, raw carrot, cold pizza and lettuce. Explain to the players the mystery food could taste good or bad, and make sure you check for food allergies before playing. Divide the players into two teams and mark a starting line. Have the teens line up at the starting line. Mark another line about 15 feet away and place the two small sacks at the line. When you say "Go," the first teens in line have to run to the bag and grab one piece of mystery food from inside. They must unwrap and eat that food. The player runs back and tags the next person in line for her to do the same. The first team to have all their players eat a piece of mystery food and run back to the starting line wins the game.

    Make a Bet

    • Write down several dares on small slips of paper and put them in a bowl. Have the teens sit in a circle and put the dares in the middle of the circle. Include dares, such as hopping on one leg, standing on your head for one minute or singing the chorus to your favorite song. Use a deck of cards to pass each teen a card face down in front of him. When you say, "Go," the teens must hold their card to their forehead. Everyone except the teen himself can see the card. Tell the teens to look around at everyone's cards and decide if the wants to stay or fold. If he stays, his card must beat every other player's card to earn a point. If he folds, he earns no point no matter what. If he stays and loses, he earns no point and has to grab a dare from the bowl to complete in front of the other teens. The person with the most points at the end of the game wins.

    Sardines

    • Select one teen be to "it" and tell her to go hide. Give the player who is "it" at least 10 minutes to hide. After 10 minutes, all other players must try to find that person. If a player finds the hiding player, the finder must be quiet and hide with him. As each player finds the hiding player, they must hide in the same place. The last player to find the player who is "it" becomes the "it" player for the next game.
