How to Build a Foldable Suit Case Cornhole Game

Cornhole is a fun game that involves throwing beanbags towards a wooden board with a hole in it from a distance. The object of the game is to make as many beanbags into the hole as you can. The game is a fun way to pass time at outdoor parties, barbecues, family gatherings, the beach and even while tailgating for football games. With the right supplies, you can make your own foldable cornhole game to take with you.

Sheet of plywood
Nylon handle
Piano hinges
Saw
Paint
Hammer
Nails
Staple gun

Instructions

  Buy a large piece of plywood board, measuring approximately 4-by-2 feet and at least 2 1/2 inches thick, and a second smaller section of plywood to serve as the leg of the game board that will stand it up.

  Cut a hole 6 inches in diameter into the top of the plywood board that will serve as your game board. The top of the game board will be where you attach the legs later on, so whichever end of the board you choose to put the hole in, will be the top of the board. The hole should be approximately 6 inches from the top of the board, and centered in the middle, about 12 inches from each side.

  Design your cornhole game board by painting it. Be creative; for example, if you are going to be using the board for tailgate parties, paint your favorite team's logo onto it.

  Connect the smaller plywood board to the underside of the main game board using the piano hinges. This board will be attached to the top end of the board, just above where the hole is. Nail the hinges into the wood with small nails to ensure that they will not protrude from the other side of the board. Place the hinges close enough together that they are almost touching to create a clean and sturdy folding mechanism for the board to fold up easily and quickly.

  Attach the nylon handle to the side of the board using a staple gun. Apply several staples to each slide of the cloth handle that attaches to the board, making sure that it is sturdy and can bear the weight of the board when it is being carried. This handle will serve as the carrying handle for your suitcase board.
