Chef Cooking Games

If you know someone who likes making a mess in the kitchen, cooking games would make a perfect gift for a birthday or holiday. There are many different types of games that allow players to take on the role of a chef as they work to create dishes and complete cooking challenges. If your friend is not technologically savvy, there are games that do not require any game consoles or devices, such as the Iron Chef board game.

Iron Chef
- The Iron Chef board game is based on the hit television series "Iron Chef." In this game, four players compete to create the perfect meal, just like the contestants in the show. A surprise ingredient is revealed and then players must travel around the board trying to assemble a complete meal consisting of an appetizer, main course and dessert. As you move around the board assembling your meal, you will reach pitfalls like broken stoves and dull knives. Overcome these challenges to reach the center and you will be crowned "cuisine supreme."
Cooking Mama
- Cooking Mama is a game designed for the Wii console that uses the Wii's remote to put you in complete control of the kitchen. Using the remote, you will chop vegetables, crack eggs, stir and adjust the heat settings on your stove. The recipes progress from simple to more complex as you hone
  
  your skills. You can complete the recipes alone or partake in head-to-head challenges with a partner to see who can cook the dish with the fewest mistakes.
Cake Doodle
- Cake Doodle is a game for iPhone and iPod touch. This game allows you to be a pastry chef, creating beautiful virtual cakes. With the application, you can follow a variety of recipes to create many different styles and flavors of cake. As you follow the recipe, you are required to use the touch screen to shake salt, pour milk, crack eggs and stir the batter. When the cake is complete you can add frosting and choose decorations. You can email your cake creations to a friend who is celebrating a special occasion.
Hell's Kitchen
- The Hell's Kitchen game for PC is based on the popular television hosted by the world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay. In the computer game, you will compete as a Hell's Kitchen contestant to complete a series of timed cooking challenges to meet Chef Ramsay's standards. As you progress in the game, you can unlock food recipes that appeared in the television show. You can try the recipes at home or email them to friends. This game is also available as an iPhone and iPod touch application.
