How to Organize Pokemon Cards

Whether you play Pokemon with your friends or just collect the cards, they can become disorganized especially as your collection grows. Pokemon cards can be organized in two ways for collecting or for easy access for game play. All you need are a few household supplies to organize your cards so they'll be ready when you need them. This way you'll know what cards you have, what ones you need and which ones you may have too many of.

Instructions

  1. For Collecting

    • 1

Purchase a three-ring binder and several clear trading card storage pages. These pages will already be punched for a three-ring binder.

    • 2

Arrange them by type of card. Place all your Pokemon cards together, your Energy cards together, your Trainer cards together, your Prize cards together and so on.

    • 3

Place one card into each pocket of the trading card sleeves. Make sure you're able to see what the card is. If you have doubles, place each card behind each other.

    For Play

    • 4

Separate your Pokemon cards into sets of 60. You need 60 for a full game.

    • 5

Place six different prize cards with your set of 60 Pokemon cards. These prize cards need to be together at the front or back of the larger Pokemon deck. This will make it easier to set up when you're playing a game.

    • 6

Put all your Energy, Trainer, Supporter and Stadium cards into separate decks. All your Energy cards will be separate from your Trainer cards, Supporter cards and so on.

    • 7

Wrap each card deck with a rubber band, if you have several. This will help them stay separate. Wrap extra cards and double cards together as well.

    • 8

Put these wrapped decks into an empty shoebox, recipe box, photo box or any other type of box that will hold all your cards.
