Easter Egg Roll
Use all colored and one white hard-broiled Easter egg for this game. Place the white egg in the middle of the backyard or on a sheet in the middle of the playing area if you are playing indoors. Have everyone write their name on their egg. The youngest person goes first and tries to roll his egg as close to the white egg as possible. The player who rolls his egg closest to the white egg wins the game.
Conversation Heart Toss
Purchase several red plastic pails and a bag of conversation hearts. On each pail, write a point value in permanent marker. Scatter the pails around the room and mark a starting line about 10 feet from the first pail. Place the higher point value pails further away from the starting line and lower point value pails closer. Each family member gets 15 conversations hearts to try to toss in the buckets. Write down everyone's points, and the person who scores the most points wins the game.
Bite the Apple
You and your family can play a simple, classic game of bobbing for apples on any holiday. Place four to five apples in a bucket of water. Time each family member to see who can bite the apple and bring it out of the bucket of water the fastest. The player with the fastest time wins the game.
Grab the Candy Cane
Play a game of grab the candy cane as you play the card game spoons. Place one less candy cane than there are family members in the middle of the play area. Everyone sits around the play area and someone deals each player four cards. The extra cards go in the middle. The object of the game is to get four of a kind and grab a candy cane. The first player draws cards from the pile that is in the middle and keep passing the cards. Players try to keep the cards they need to make four of a kind, but can only hold four cards at a time. When a player has four of a kind, he must grab a candy cane and try not to let anyone else see him. When the other players notice he has a candy cane, they must grab one too. The person left without a candy cane is out of the game. The last player remaining in the game wins.
