Ask your parents to tell you honestly why they do not want you to play PS2 online. If you have been slacking on your homework, it will be easier to change their minds by working harder than if they simply think you are too young to play.
Be responsible. Do all of your chores on time and volunteer to help your parents. If you see that the dishwasher needs to be emptied, empty it without being asked. If they see you being responsible, they may be more likely to let you play.
Do all of your homework on time and improve your grades. If they see that you can play PS2 offline and maintain good grades, they may be more likely to let you play online.
Spend time with your friends. Your parents may not let you play PS2 online because they fear that you will lose touch with your friends. Let them see that you have solid, healthy relationships with the people in your life and that these are the same people who you will play with online.
Explain to your parents how online PS2 gaming works. They may be afraid of you meeting strange adults online. Let them know about privacy controls and that you can play with people that you know in real life. Let them read the game instruction manuals.
Be prepared to compromise. Agree to let them watch you play or set a time limit on how long you play. If necessary, clean up your social networking profile so that they can see how responsible you are online.
