How to Make New Friends With Clapping Games

Making new friends can be intimidating, especially if you find yourself in a situation where you don't know many people. A casual clapping game can help break the ice and get conversations rolling. You can play a clapping game with only two people or as many as you like .Clapping games work well in a school setting or at a party where student-age guests are around, as some adults may be remiss to participate.

Instructions

    • 1

Ask a new group of possible friends to sit together in a circle on the floor.

    • 2

Pick one leader to lead the clapping game and instruct all the players to watch the leader for clapping clues.

    • 3

Have all the players link hands to the people sitting to either side of them to begin playing. Instruct the leader to begin clapping in any pattern they choose, either clapping his own hands together or clapping the hands of the people next to him. The other players watch the leader and mimic these actions as best they can.

    • 4

Allow the leader to begin speeding up the clapping to make the game more challenging. The game continues until the other players can no longer keep up with the momentum the leader is creating.
