How to Make Your Own Fish Online Game

If you are looking for an educational and entertaining online game that will teach your children about the ocean and fish, then consider making your own customized, online game in which you crate a fish together. This is fairly easy to do when you use free video game-building software that is available on the Internet. Be creative and allow your children to explore their imaginations under the sea.

Instructions

      Visit the Sploder website, a free game-building site (see Resources).

      Click on the "Make a Game" button.

      Click on the "Platformer Creator" icon, which is the first of three icons you will see on your screen. If this is the first time using this website, you will need to fill in some information before continuing.

      Click on the "Enemies &Hazards" button. Scroll down the list of creatures until you see the icons "Shark" and "Leonard." Leonard is a purple fish. Click on each of these icons and drag them to your video game screen. You can place them anywhere on your screen. You also can drag multiple fish to the screen to create obstacles for your video game player.

      Build houses with windows and doors, as well as roads and pipes to jump on or over by clicking on the following buttons: "Blocks &Tiles," "Walls &Decorations" and "Switches &Doors." Simply click on one of the features such as a pipe or a door, drag it to your screen and release your mouse.

      Click "Test" and then "Play Game" to test your game. You will need to run away from the fish and sharks, as they will eat you if you do not move. Use your arrow keys on your keyword to run.

      Visit the PictoGame free game-building website (see Resources).

      Click on the button "Make Games" in the top toolbar.

      Click on the "Puzzle 4 X 4" icon listed on the left-hand sidebar. You may need to click on "Or try another game template (see all)" to extend the menu.

      Upload a photo or graphic of a fish that you have saved on your computer. Click the "Browse" button to locate the photo or graphic.

      Type a title for your game and a description of the game, which is to flip over pieces of the puzzle and to move them around to form a perfect puzzle image of your fish, in the boxes provided on the screen.

      Click the "Save" button. You will be redirected to a screen where you will be asked to register with PictoGram for free. Fill out the information required such as a user name and password. Click on the links to get back to the game site. Test your game by clicking the "Play" button.
