How to Make Table Shuffleboard Markings

Table shuffleboard provides the perfect recreational touch for any playroom, basement or bar. It's a game that can be enjoyed by all ages and requires relatively little maintenance compared to pinball machines or video games which rely on electricity to function. Unfortunately, many table shuffleboards come with a steep price. That's why making your own shuffleboard can be an attractive option.

Instructions

    • 1
Apply painter's tape to mark the scoring lines.

Apply two pieces of 1-inch painter's tape on each side where the scoring lines will be. Space the pieces of tape at least 1 inch from one another to create a thick line that will be visible from the other end of the table. Pieces of tape should be placed 6 inches, 12 inches and 36 inches from the back of the table. Repeat the process on the other end of the table.

    • 2
Use black or red to create lines that are visible from the other end of the table.

Paint the 1-inch spaces between each piece of tape with a 1-inch foam paintbrush and acrylic paint. Use a bolder color such as black or red to create lines that are visible from the other end of the table. Remove the painter's tape and allow the lines to dry.

Glue the numbers onto the table with spray adhesive.

Print two sets of the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 in a large font on a piece of paper. Cut the numbers out with a utility knife and glue them onto the table with spray-on adhesive. Place the numbers in descending order, one for each space, with 4 being closest to the edge of the table and 1 being closest to the center. Place four strips of 1 1/2-inch painter's tape in a square around each number. Spray paint the area within the squares with the same color you selected for the scoring lines, but be careful not to let paint outside the lines. Allow the paint to dry, and then remove the tape and printed numbers.
