Children will be delighted by this game and they will most not get bored if you establish some rules for the game. A scavenger hunt can be used for playgroups, birthday parties, class trips or just a fun family day out. Create a list of the animals children will have to seek and draw pictures of. In order to make the game more educational, you could include headings like endangered animals or groups of similar animals. You could also get the children to find workers that perform different activities, including animal training or feeding.

Supervise the children as much as possible while still allowing them some freedom to move around and get through the hunt at their own pace. It is advisable to have one adult for every three children. Part of the fun for the children is to explore and be creative, which is usually accomplished best in a small group.
