Building the Tower
Cut four pieces of pipe 8-1/2 inches long each and insert them into the top openings of two of the T-couplings.
Cut two pieces of pipe 1-1/2 inches long, and insert one into one elbow coupling and the other into the other elbow coupling.
Cut two pieces of pipe 3-1/2 inches long and insert one into each remaining opening on the elbow couplings, making two L-shapes.
Attach the open sides of the 1-1/2 inch pieces to the remaining openings on the T-couplings with the 8-1/2 inch sections attached.
Connect the remaining open ends of the 3-1/2 inch pieces to the top openings of a T-coupling, creating an H-shape when looked at from above. The remaining open end of the T-coupling should be pointing up when the 8-1/2 inch pieces are laid flat on the ground as a base.
Cut a 44-inch piece of pipe and place it into the opening in the T-coupling.
Put an end cap on the open end of the 44-inch pipe and the open ends of the four 8-1/2 inch base pieces.
Making and Mounting the Scoreboard
Draw a rectangle 22 inches tall and 6 inches wide on the plywood.
Make two marks on one 6-inch edge, 1 inch in from each 22-inch side, then connect the marks to the corners on the other 6-inch side, creating a shape which narrows from 6 inches at one end to 4 inches at the other.
Cut out the shape.
Paint both sides of the plywood white and leave to dry.
Draw 21 horizontal lines of marker across the shape on one face of the wood, with lines spaced every 1 inch, creating 22 rows, each 1 inch tall.
Draw two vertical lines in marker through the 12 widest sections, with one line 2 inches in from each corner along the 6-inch side.
Draw two vertical lines in marker through the 10 narrowest sections, with one line 1-1/2 inch in from each corner along the 4-inch side.
Number the rectangles made down the center of the board, starting with "0" at the rectangle that touches the 4-inch side, counting up by one until "21" in the rectangle that touches the 6-inch side.
Position the board near the top of the tower and drill through the plywood and the tower beneath it twice, with one hole through the center of the line beneath the "18" space and one through the center of the line beneath the "4" space.
Insert a bolt through the plywood and PVC and secure to the back of the PVC tube with a nut. Hand tightening is sufficient to hold the board in place. Repeat on the second hole.
Spray the clothes pins so one matches each color of balls in play. Move the clips up the wood to track score, with one on each side of the numbers.
