How to Install a Door Jam Basketball Clamp

Door jam basketball is a novelty game where players "shoot hoops" using a small soft basketball and a small rim. There are many variations of the novelty game including plastic rims, wire rims and even steel rims. There are also versions of the game which "light-up" for night-time play. Though there are many different products on the market, the clamp attachment to the door is virtually the same on all. The major variation is that some backboards have two clamps, while others have one.

Things You'll Need

Door jam basketball game
Step-ladder or stool
Towel

Instructions

- 1
  Wipe the top of the door with a damp towel to remove and dust or dirt which has built up.

  Place a thin towel, paper towel, or other piece of padding over the center of the door frame. This step is optional, but recommended so that the door does not get scratched from the clamp. Certain door jam basketball clamps may have a padding component built in.
- 3
  Slide the basketball door jam clamp over the top of the door. Make sure that the clamp is centered. The clamp will firmly hold against the back of the door.
