How to Eliminate a Dart's Score on an Electronic Scoreboard

Often when playing darts on an electronic dartboard, whether at home or at a bar, a dart will accidentally be recorded as having been thrown. Sometimes this can occur when a dart is being removed from the dartboard and the player removing it accidentally puts enough force on the dart that it registers as a dart thrown for the next person. Sometimes, the dartboard just scores the dart on the wrong area of the board. Whatever the reason, it is very easy to erase a dart. However, most dartboards don't make it very obvious how to do so.

To erase a dart on the Arachnid Galaxy, first locate the control buttons on the front of the dartboard. The Galaxy has a yellow button with an upward-facing arrow, a yellow button with a downward-facing arrow and a plain red button arranged vertically from top to bottom.

Press the yellow upward-facing arrow. This will bring up a box on the screen with several options. The top option is the only one relevant to erasing a dart, and it allows you to erase the last dart thrown. Push the upward-facing arrow again to highlight this option. Next, press the red button below the two yellow arrows to tell the dartboard to erase the last dart thrown. The dartboard will erase any score resulting from that dart and credit the relevant player with an additional dart to throw. This can be done as many times as needed, up to the first dart thrown in the game. It does not matter whether or not the turn of the person who threw the dart has passed.

To remove a dart on the Halex Cricketview 5000, locate the "control area," which is a group of square buttons on the lower right corner of the dartboard. The middle button on the third row of buttons from the top in this area is the "bounce-out" button. To erase an incorrect dart, simply press this button.

The GLD Viper 787 dartboard is also found in many bars and homes. This dartboard also has a "bounce-out" button, making dart removal very simple. This button is located at the far right of the top row of buttons found at the bottom right corner of the board. Press this button after an incorrect dart to erase the dart.
