Distances Between Targets
For children two to four years old, the targets should be placed 8 feet apart. For children 5 to 8 years old, the targets are placed 12 feet apart. For 9 to 12, it is 15 feet. For 13 years old to adult, the targets are placed 18 feet apart.
Scoring
The first team to reach 21 points wins. If a bag lands in a hole, it is called a Baggo and is worth three points. If a bag lands on the board, it is worth one point, and is called an ace. The actual score is the difference in the team points. For example, if team one has five points, but the team has one point, the difference is four points, and is awarded to team one. This is calculated after every turn. If one team reaches 11 points, but the other team has zero, this is called a skunk, and the "skunked" team loses the game. If a bag is pushed into the hole by an opposing team's toss, the point counts as a Baggo for the pushed-in bag.
Throwing The Bag
The bag should be thrown underhand, so an arc is placed on the toss. Since the object of the game is to place the bag in the hole, a soft landing is desirable so the bag will not bounce off the board. You cannot step over the imaginary line when throwing the bag.
