Attacktix Rules

The game of Attacktix is played with action figures from different pop culture properties such as "Star Wars," "Transformers" and "Marvel Super Heroes." Each action figure comes on a base and is given a set a statistics and special abilities that are used as a means to determine the outcome of battles against other figures.
  1. Movement

    • Each figure stands atop a black base. On the top, front of the base is a number. This represents the number of times the figure can move per turn. Moves are determined by a ticking sound made as you roll the figure. For example, if a figure has a move value of five, he can move forward until you hear five ticks.

    Attack

    • Every figure can perform one physical attack on his opponent. This attack is performed differently depending on your figure. If your figure is Wolverine from the "X-Men," his attack involves pulling back and releasing his arm for a claw swipe. If you are using a Clonetrooper from "Star Wars" then his attack is activated by pressing a button on his gun to shoot an energy blast.

    Special Powers

    • Special powers are activated when two conditions are fulfilled. The first condition is that the colored window on the bottom of the base turns white. The window changes colors after every movement so this occurs randomly and you will not know the color until the figure has been defeated. The second condition is that the figure has been knocked over by an attack. Once knocked over, the figure will reveal his special power, which takes effect if the window is white. These powers can resurrect a fallen ally or destroy an opponent's figure.

    Effects

    • Some Attacktix figures have an Effect ability that is activated at the start of battle. This can add extra moves or attacks during your turn. Effect abilities are noted in the figure's packaging and should be kept in case an opponent questions the Effect.

    Starting the Game

    • To start the game, each of the two players places a row of three figures directly in front of them and three feet apart from the opponent's figures. The figures each possess a point value on the front side of the base that must combine with the other figures to equal 100 or another number decided by the players. You may have additional figures off the field that come on when another has been defeated as long as the total squad's point value remains within the limit.

Flip a coin to pick who goes first. The first player pushes any or all of his figures in any direction on the battlefield up to the number of moves allotted by the figures. He may then choose to attack or allow the other player to take his turn.

    Attack and Victory

    • If you decide to attack on your turn, you can select any two of his figures for battle. Rotate the figure to aim and then use the figure's attack on your opponent's figure. If the defending figure is knocked down it may activate a Special Power and then be removed from the field. Reset your figures ammunition at the beginning of your next turn. The game continues until one player has lost all of his figures in battle.
