Valentine's Coupon Book
For a Valentine's youth activity, make a coupon book for Mom and Dad. Take a few pieces of paper and fold them in half. Staple the paper down the middle to create a coupon book. Write coupons in the book such as "Good for one free hug," "Good for doing the dishes," "Good for mowing the lawn" and "Good for a back rub."
Easter Egg Bowling
For Easter Egg Bowling, hard boil several eggs and let each player decorate her own egg. She can use markers, paints, glitter and dye to color the egg. Make sure everyone writes his or her name on the egg. Place a solid white egg in the middle of the party area. The object of the game is for each child to try to roll his egg closest to the white egg without touching or hitting it. The player who gets closest to the white egg wins the game.
Thanksgiving Turkey Pass
Have everyone sit in a large circle, and hand one player a large plush turkey. Play some music and have everyone pass the turkey around the circle. When the music stops, the person holding the turkey is out of the game; however, he must stand up and say one thing he is thankful for before leaving the game. The last player standing wins the plush turkey. Be sure the person controlling the music cannot see the circle to make the game fair.
Christmas Gift Pass
Wrap a small gift with several layers of wrapping paper and have all players sit in a circle. Play Christmas music and have them pass the gift around the circle. When the music stops, the person holding the gift must unwrap one layer. Keep passing the gift and unwrapping one layer at a time. The person who unwraps the last layer of wrapping paper wins that gift.
For another fun Christmas activity, have the children sing Christmas songs. Let each person pick a different song and have the whole group sing the song. You can purchase Christmas CDs at your local retail store or online.
