How to Make Darts Stick to an Electronic Dartboard

Dartboards are a common item in many sports bars and lounges across the country. Through the years, these boards have become more technologically advanced from the earlier cork board designs, incorporating features such as the bristle board and new electronic boards. Electronic boards keep the score automatically when a dart lands on a specific spot. These boards often become worn due to frequent use, and the plastic-tipped darts may not stick as well. Remedy this problem by thoroughly cleaning the board and throwing the darts properly.

Instructions

    • 1

Unplug the dartboard then place it on a flat surface.

    • 2

Brush the dartboard thoroughly with a nylon bristle brush. The bristles should be long enough to remove any debris present in between the plastic spurs on the board.

    • 3

Inspect your darts. Bent or worn tipped darts will not stick as well and should be discarded.

    • 4

Stand at the throw line. Hold the dart in between your first three fingers and thumb on the dart grip area. Keep the dart parallel to the floor while you hold it.

    • 5

Throw the dart with medium force, while aiming at the bull's-eye or your intended target. Keep the dart parallel to the floor as you throw and release it. This will send the dart flying straight, and allow it to stick firmly into the board.
