How to Make a Balloon Pop Game

Every time you go to a carnival you have the opportunity to stop at the game booth where you throw the darts at a wall of balloons to try to pop as many as you can to win a big stuffed animal. Now you can enjoy this classical carnival game at home by making your own balloon pop game. With a few inexpensive supplies from the party and office supply stores you can recreate this game for your next party or just for an entertaining family game night.

Things You'll Need

Large cork board (at least 3-by-4-foot)
Balloons
Push pins
Metal-tip darts
Hammer
Nails
Masking tape

Instructions

  Inflate one balloon at a time. Attach the balloon to the cork board by pushing a push pin through the tail of the balloon into the cork board. Stick the balloons onto the cork board randomly to make them more difficult to pop that balloons organized into rows and columns. The more inflated the balloons, the easier to pop, so decide how much to inflate them based on how hard you want the game to be.

  Hang the cork board from the wall at eye level using hammer and nails. Keep in mind that some darts may completely miss the board when you decide where to hang the game.

  Place a line of masking tape on the floor where you want the players to stand. Give each player three darts and take turns throwing the darts to pop the balloons. Continue taking turns until a player is unable to pop a balloon on his turn, or you can go a certain number of rounds, replacing popped balloons between players, and see who can pop the most.
