How to Get Rubber Grips Off Foosball Table Rods

Foosball table rods come with some type of grip. Many models use rubber grips. The grips help players hold on to the rods, which are used to control the figures on the table. You may need to remove the grips to replace them, or if you have to remove the rods. Rubber grips are not glued or screwed into place, making removal easily. The removal time depends on how tight the grips are on the rod.

     Tuck the nozzle of the WD-40 into the bottom of the grip and spray. Move the nozzle around with your hand to apply spray around the entire opening.

     Hold onto the grip with both hands and twist, pulling outward. Twist counter clockwise and then clockwise as you pull.

     Wipe the inside of the grip and the rod with a towel to remove the spray and any grease.
