Racing Car Games to Play

Car racing video games let you simulate the experience of driving expensive, fast cars at top speeds, against tough competition. Some car racing games focus on street racing, while others give you the feel of organized competition.
  1. "F1 2010"

    • Codemasters released the racing video game "F1 2010" for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in September of 2010. "F1 2010" lets you compete in Formula One car races, and it is rated suitable for players of all ages. The game is designed to simulate Formula One seasons, so it features real-life race tracks, events, and drivers. You can play single races, compete against friends, or play multiple seasons in the same driver's career.

    "ModNation Racers"

    • Sony Computer Entertainment America released the racing title "ModNation Racers" for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable (PSP) in May of 2010. Created by United Front Games, "ModNation Racers" is rated appropriate for gamers of all ages. While the game does offer some pre-designed content, it focuses on letting you make your own levels. You can also customize your own driver, upload your creations to the PlayStation Network, and drive against others online.

    "DiRT 2"

    • Codemasters published the racing game "DiRT 2" for Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable (PSP), PC, and Xbox 360 in September of 2009. The game is rated acceptable only for those 13 and up. Rather than give you traditional tracks, "DiRT 2" challenges you to race on off-road terrain. You can try out individual races, compete online, or start a season where you race against real or computer drivers.

    "Project Gotham Racing 3"

    • Microsoft Game Studios released the racing title "Project Gotham Racing 3" exclusively for its Xbox 360 console in November of 2005. Bizarre Creations developed the game, and it is rated suitable for all players 10 and older. You are able to choose between dozens of high-end cars to drive in street races. "Project Gotham Racing 3" allows between one and eight players to drive at once, and you can pick between multiple difficulty settings.
