How to Design Your Own Fashion Line Game

The world of fashion design has reached a larger audience because of popular TV shows such as "Project Runway" and "America's Next Top Model." Because young girls are a segment of the viewing population for these types of shows, create a fashion design-a-line party game that will keep them entertained at the next birthday party, sleepover or Sweet 16 celebration.

Things You'll Need

  • Over-sized T-shirts
  • Scarves
  • Costume closet
  • Pillow case
  • Scissors
  • Table runner or long fabric

Instructions

    • 1

Build a runway to present game entries. Create one by laying a table runner or long piece of fabric on the floor. Light up the runway by placing holiday stringed lights along both sides of the runner or fabric.

    • 2

Designate three judges to rate the entries from 1 to 10 and send each girl into a separate area to design their fashion pieces.

    • 3

Assemble a variety of accessories and clothing items in each participant's "dressing room" for use in completing each task. Include items such as shoes, hats, jewelry, belts, skirts and tops.

    • 4

Provide each girl with an over-sized T-shirt and a pair of scissors. Give them three minutes to design an outfit with all their accessories. Tell them to use the scissors to cut only the T-shirt. Call time and have them walk their fashion creation down the runway to be scored.

    • 5

Give each girl a scarf and ask her to find a creative way to use or wear it. Give the girls three minutes then ask them to strut down the runway to be scored.

    • 6

Provide each girl with a pillowcase. Have them create an article of clothing or an accessory using the pillowcase and scissors. Call time after three minutes and have them present their outfit on the runway to be scored.

    • 7

Tally the scores to declare the winning fashion line.
