Capture the Flag
Capture the Flag is an ideal adventure game for teens because it involves lots of running, risk and excitement. To play the game, you will need to divide teams into two. Teams can consist of 10 or more people each. Each team will have a flag, which be represented by any object such as a sweater or a ball. You will then put all the players from one team on one side of a playing field and the other team on the other side. After doing this, each team puts the opponent's flag somewhere in their field. The point of the game is for each team to capture the other team's flag by crossing over into the other team's territory. However, once a person crosses into the other person's territory, if they are tagged by a player from the opposing team, the person that is tagged is captured and put in jail (located somewhere on the side of the opposing team's territory). These people can be released from jail if they are tagged by one of their own team members who risk going into the other team's territory. The team who can capture the opponent's flag and bring it back to their own territory without getting tagged wins.
Water Obstacle Course
The Water Obstacle Course game can be played with 20 or more teenagers. You will need a whistle and timer for one individual and one large bucket and four cups per team, as well as water and any other obstacle items you can find. Once you have 20 or more players, split the players into four players per team. Each team starts out with four empty cups. When someone blows a whistle and starts the timer, each team must navigate through an obstacle course as fast as they can. The obstacle course can involve going under a blanket, going through hoops or going around cones. It can also have requirements such as having to piggyback each other, walking backwards, balancing the cups in a certain way or anything else that might be enjoyable and challenging. At the end of the course, they need to put the water into their bucket. The team with the most water in the bucket when the timer stops wins.
The Big Egg Throw
The Big Egg Throw game involves less physical movement and more coordination skills. There has to be four or more teenagers to play this game. Split all the players into pairs and give each pair one raw egg. Each player in the pair then stands one meter away from each other. When someone gives the command, a player from one side will throw the egg to the player on the other side. The player on the other side will then throw the egg back. Everyone then takes one large step back and repeats this process. If the egg breaks, then that pair is out of the game, but if it lands on the ground and somehow does not break, then the pair can have another chance to throw the egg again. The pair that lasts longest without having the egg break wins the game.
