Taxi Driving School
In the game "Taxi Driving School," you are a student that is a member of a family of legendary taxi drivers in New York City. Before you start working, you must succeed in passing the Taxi Corp. exam. To do this, you must exhibit 14 different driving maneuvers during an allotted amount of time. You must stay on course and not crash. To drive, players use the up arrow on their keyboard to accelerate, down arrow to drive the car in reverse, left/right to steer and the space bar for braking. Players are guided by green arrows along the roadway. Before the exam, players can use the 14 practice lessons to get a feel for the road with the green arrows and without the other cars on the roadway. Maneuvers on the exam include turning at an intersection or making u-turns.
The Drivers Ed Game
In "the Drivers Ed Game," players go to a virtual driving school. Players can choose from four instructors: the knowledgeable Mr. Bumper, the young and fun Jessica, the strict but always nice Johnny, and the Boss Lady---who really knows her stuff. Players can choose to play the practice exam games or to go straight into the big exam. General driving skills are on the exam, like parallel parking and making a (safe and legal) left turn on a busy four-way intersection.
3D Driving School
In the CD-ROM game "3D Driving School," available for use on Windows and Mac, players can practice safe driving skills. This simulator is designed to teach driving skills while giving the driving student a fun and relaxing experience. The game gives drivers trips through various cities and enjoyable 3D scenery. Players start out by getting experience driving in the small town Gobesdorf. Drivers also go on trips on the game's huge European motorway which connects the countries of Germany, the Netherlands, France and Spain. In the game, players must practice skills such as proper signalling and paying attention to traffic signs.
