Rules for Last Man Standing

The game "Last Man Standing" is a game used in various sports, games and settings. While some use the game as a method of practice, others use it as a game in itself. Depending on where the game is used and in what context, specific rules may be applied. However, some rules are standard and can be seen in almost any version of the game.
  1. More than One Player

    • To play "Last Man Standing," there must be more than one player. The basic rule of the game is that the one player standing undefeated is the winner of the game. Ideally, three or more players should be in the game, as two players may not create enough competition, especially if one player is obviously stronger or larger than the other.

    Time Frame

    • In the basic game of "Last Man Standing," there is no time frame. The game ends when the last player stands undefeated, having defeated all other players. If the game is used in practice form, such as wrestling practice or football tackling practice, the coach may put a time frame on for the purpose of training other skills and techniques. However, if played in the form of a video game, the game will not end until one player stands undefeated.

    Props Allowed

    • In some versions of the game, some props are allowed for safety reasons. For example, in sports, protective gear is allowed in football, so the players are protected from tackles and massive injuries. In video games, weapons of various shapes, sizes and forms may be used to defeat your opponent. In extreme wrestling, it is possible that no props are allowed.

    Specific Rules for Specific Versions

    • Depending on the version you are playing, there may be specific rules or guidelines you must follow. For example, in football you can defeat your opposition by tackling but not by using force or moves that hurt the opponents head, neck or private parts. In extreme wrestling, there may not be any rules to follow besides stay inside the ring.
