Paint Pad
The KidsCom Jr. website is a children's site that offers a variety of simple, fun and educational online games for free. The games are hosted by animated characters, Iggey--an upright walking tree frog--and Rasper who appears to be part snake and part fish. In the Paint Pad game, children can paint an on-screen gray scale picture of Rasper checking out a jack-o-lantern. Click on any of the 30 colors in the pallet to use your mouse and cursor as a paint brush. Hold down the left click button and roll over the areas to color.
Art Pad
The Girls Go Games website is a website geared towards adolescent girls who enjoy online gaming. Among the numerous makeover and dress up games the site offers a number of artistic games as well. The Art Pad game allows children--girls or boys--to create original artwork digitally by using a blank on-screen canvas and the mouse as a paintbrush. You can adjust the color, opacity and paint brush size and choose from a selection of frames. When done you can play-back your painting to see an animated recreation, hang your art in the gallery for other players to view, print or email it to a friend.
Symbian Nokia Paint Pad Software
For more mature artists on-the-go the Symbian Nokia Paint Pad Software is a more sophisticated game that can be applied to your cell phone. Once you download the art application to your phone you can use your handset to paint and draw pictures on a blank canvas, take a photo and enhance it with words, paint or drawings or load a previously stored photo file to act as your canvas. Paint Pad software is compatible with a number of Nokia, Sony-Ericsson and Samsung cell phones and PDAS.
