Play Your Doubles Quickly
Play your doubles at the beginning of the game. Doubles are harder to play as time passes because there are fewer opportunities to use them.
Make Mental Notes
If there is a point in the game when another player has to pass because he doesn̵7;t have the proper numbered domino to play, remember this number and use it to your advantage. If you know an opponent doesn̵7;t have any threes, then play a three. This ensures your opponent doesn̵7;t get rid of any pieces and will have to pick some up from the bone-yard, giving you a better chance at winning.
Practice Your Math
Being able to quickly add and subtract will greatly increase your chance of winning. Knowing how to add will allow you to explore your options before you play a domino and help to ensure you pick a play that will win you the most points.
Play High Dominoes
The higher the number on the domino you use, the lower the number of points your opponent can score. Points are tabulated by adding the unused number on the dominoes, so if you use the higher numbers your opponent cannot gain those points.
Give Yourself Options
Try to keep a variety of dominoes. The more number options you leave yourself with, the easier it will be to play a good turn. You are less likely to have to pick dominoes from the bone-yard, which reduces your chances of getting rid of all your pieces first and winning the game.
