Cargo Bridge
Making the bridge is only half of the challenge, as you're building a bridge that people have to cross twice--the second time, with loads of cargo in tow. The challenge is increased by a limited amount of materials you can build and that increases from level to level. Plus, while you can see certain forces straining the bridge at certain points, you may see your work fall apart when the cargo comes back with your men.
King of Bridges
An interesting twist on the bridge construction genre, the King of Bridges requires that you build bridges to different islands in an attempt to meet everyone's needs. It's more of a brain-teaser than a science project but planning the right number of bridges to fit the population is one important aspect of the construction process.
Bridgecraft
Combine the bridge-building science built into other games with a compelling storyline that involves saving lives and you have Bridgecraft. As the world of the Euwins floods, it's up to you to save them by building bridges to get them across the various gaps to safety. With a number of tools and materials that will help you in this mission, you have a host of levels to try to complete.
World of Goo
2D Boy's debut title, released for the computer as well as consoles, has a number of different build modes, of which bridge building is just one. In the World of Goo, there are a several different types of goo balls which, with your supervision, can come together to make all kinds of structures: towers, bridges and eventually dirigibles. The bridges are some of the most challenging levels and even more challenging is the goal to use as few balls as possible. Coming complete with a satirical storyline and a soundtrack, the game is a must-have for the genre.
