Red Carpet
Roll out several yards of red carpet to create the famous Hollywood red carpet in your home. To outline it, lay strands of Christmas lights down either sides to illuminate the walkway and make it pop. Provide a box of costume and prop options to the girls to use. Play some festive dance music and allow each girl to take a turn choosing from the box to create an ensemble or character and then process down the red carpet. After all the girls have gone, establish categories such as most super, most glamorous and most creative and vote to award winners.
Paparazzi Blitz
In a spin off of the classic child's game of hide and seek incorporate a camera into the activity. Give the girls three minutes to find a hiding spot. Armed with a camera after the time has expired, search out each girl. When you find the girl, you must snap a photo of her face, much like the Hollywood paparazzi would. When a photo is successfully taken the girl is out. The last girl to have her photo taken wins the game. Keep the photos as mementos from the party or print out each photo and give to each girl to take home as a party favor.
Makeover Challenge
Have each girl bring a fashion or celebrity magazine to the party. Divide the girls into teams and give each time an allotted time frame, such as 10 minutes, to sift through the magazines and choose one celebrity superstar. The girls will have to select one member among the group to be made over in the style of the selected superstar. Provide the girls with costume choices as well as makeup and hair styling tools. A variety of clothing options can be found inexpensively at a local thrift store. Give the girls a half an hour to makeover their subject. Once complete, the made-over girls will parade their new look in front of the group. The other players must guess what star each girl was made over to resemble.
