There Are No Bears Out Tonight
There Are No Bears Out Tonight is ideal for three or more players--the more the better--and is best played outside. One person is chosen to be the bear. The rest of the players close their eyes and count to 20 aloud while the bear hides. Once the players reach 20, they open their eyes and start to run around, repeating the chant "There are no bears out tonight; my daddy shot them all last night!" The bear comes out of hiding and tries to tag one of the other players, who are busy trying not to get tagged. Once the bear is successful at tagging another player, both players are bears.
The game continues with the two bears trying to tag another player and ends when all the players are bears. Players should feel free to growl and move like bears.
Zombie Tag
Zombie Tag is played like regular tag except that the person who is "it" acts like a zombie--shuffling around, arms extended, moaning. In addition, each player who is tagged becomes a zombie, too. The game ends when the last player becomes a zombie. The more the zombies act like zombies, the more fun the game.
Bloody Mary
Bloody Mary is a suitable activity for the tween and teenage set. Some say that the Bloody Mary in the game is actually Mary Queen of Scots, while others assert Bloody Mary was an evil witch. Take a lit candle into a bathroom with at least one large mirror. Turn out the lights. Have one player face the mirror and chant, "Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary." Watch the mirror and see if you can see Bloody Mary looking back at you. If not, have the player quickly spin around three times and try again. The game usually ends with a scream.
