Scrabble
Scrabble is a classic word game and the winner of a Parent's Choice award. Scrabble was invented during the Great Depression by Alfred Mosher Butts, and is currently played by millions of people around the world. The object of the game is to earn the most points by building words and using bonus spaces on the board. During each turn, a player uses seven letters to build a word on the game board, and play continues until all the letters have run out. The player with the most points at the end wins the game.

However, it doesn’t stop there—this classic Hasbro game involves heavy detective work as the object is to not only guess who committed the murder but how the victim was murdered and with what weapon. There are over one hundred possibilities for the outcome of this popular board game.

Although the modern version as we know it today was created in 1960, the game was initially created in 1860.
