Gothic Dress-Up
This game is part of a site that specializes in dress-up games, in which users use their mouse to select clothing items for a cartoon model, from a wardrobe of skirts, trousers, tops and so on. Unlike many dress-up games though, this particular variant emphasizes gothic fashion, with available clothing typically black or dark red in color. Fashion items include corsets, big boots and accessories such as metal bracelets.
There’s no real "aim" to this game. Instead, players simply experiment with different fashions and combinations of items to achieve that perfect Goth girl look.
Gothic Makeover Game
For younger Goth girls, perhaps of pre-teen age, this online game is similar to other dress-up games in that it offers players a cartoon model with which to get creative and experiment on. However, here the emphasis is on choosing hairstyles, eyeliner and other makeup to make over the Goth girl you are presented with. Players have access to dozens of types of makeup, including lipstick and blusher, with which to decorate the gothic model. After players have made up their minds about how the girl is going to look, they can click "done" and then print out or save their creation for a later date.
Immortal Night
A multiplayer online role-playing game with more than 9,000 participants as of July 2010, Immortal Night plants players in the middle of an interactive world, full of gothic-themed creatures such as vampires, werewolves and witches. Players choose a character with which to wander the world of the game, which operates out of a user’s web browser. During the game, players must avoid enemies such as human hunters and collect magical objects; players also have to train to develop their character and become more powerful within the game. The opportunities for playing a mystical character in the game will likely appeal to many Goth girls.
Goth Bubblejam
This game is a variant on popular arcade games such as the "Bust-a-Move" series, in which players take command of a cannon that shoots out colored bubbles. The idea is to outwit the computer by lining up bubbles of the same color on the screen as quickly as possible, before the bubbles already on screen reach the player’s cannon. This version of the game is Goth-themed, with mysterious, gloomy backdrops; the game also ties into gothic music, since players are rewarded for matching musical note bubbles together, as well as colored bubbles, as they play.
