Designer
In this game the girls take several pieces of different-colored construction paper cut into different shapes (such as circles, squares, rectangles, triangles etc). Each girl gets a bag with the same shapes inside. Divide the girls into teams of two and sit them back to back. The first girl makes a design from the shapes in the bag. Then she describes the shape to the girl behind her. The other girl must try to copy the other shape from the verbal hints alone. The girl who gets closest to the original design is the winner. The girls can then switch sides and play again.
Gum Game
This game requires several packages of gum (one piece for each player), a pair of gloves for each team and a paper sack. Divide the girls into equal-sized teams. One at a time the girls open the sack (which contains the gum and gloves), put on the gloves, open a piece of gum and start to chew it. Then the girls place the gum pack and gloves back in the sack, close it and pass the bag to the next person in the team. The first team to each have a piece of gum in their mouth wins.
Sleeping Beauty
Sleeping Beauty is a quiet game that girls of all ages can play. All girls but one lay on the floor. These are the sleeping beauties. They close their eyes. One girl, dubbed the prince, gets to stand. She searches the girls on the floor for movement or sound. Any girl who moves or opens her eyes has to join the prince and become another prince. The last girl lying on the floor is the winner.
Connections
This game uses a large grid of small dots arranged into a square. Divide the girls into two teams. Each team tries to complete a square on the grid between the dots, drawing one line at a time. Whichever team finishes the square gets to write their team initials inside the box. When the grid is full of squares the game is over. The team with the most squares in the box is the winner.
