Memories
This game takes a bit of work to prepare, but once the game is completed it can bring a married couple entertainment for many years. You will need 20 or more 3-by-5-inch index cards and a place to keep them. On each card, draw or glue a picture that connects with a place or event you both remember from your past. Have each partner create 10 to 20 cards and then set a time where you will present them to the other partner. The one partner should try to guess what the memory is from the picture. Create new memory cards through the days, weeks and months. The game you create will be fun to take out for years to come to remind you of all the great times you’ve shared.
Tweak a Board Game
Take an old board game out of your closet that you haven’t played in a while. Some examples are Life, Battleship and Trivial Pursuit. In these games, the usual prize for winning is satisfaction alone. Create your own reward system for the game. You can make it something tame, such as completing chores for the week. Another option is that every time one player beats the other, the beaten player removes an article of clothing. Slow the game down by making each victory result in a sexual act. As anticipation can be the most fun part of the process, take a long time planning the rules out of these new sexualized or incentive-based board games.
Truth or Dare
Truth or Dare is a classic game often played by teenage partygoers, but it can lead to a great deal of fun for a married couple as well. The game has the same rules, with one partner asking the other the question, “Truth or Dare?” The partner can choose truth, in which case the spouse must answer a question. If the partner chooses dare, the spouse comes up with a challenge for the partner to complete. The game should focus on positive questions, such as “What are three things you like about me?” The dares can be as tame or as risqué as the two of you agree upon before the game. A fun dare might be to “Write me a beautiful love poem in two minutes or less.” This game allows a couple to learn even more about one another and to do silly things that will turn into fun memories.
