Rules for Bulls Eye Washer Toss Game

Bulls-Eye Washer Toss is a game that challenges players to try to throw a washer into a hole. It is based on the game of horseshoes, but the washers are much lighter than horseshoes and Bulls-Eye Washer Toss results in less damage to the ground. Bulls-Eye Washer Toss can be played at cookouts, camping trips, beach vacations, tailgate parties and your own backyard.
  1. Number of Players and Game Setup

    • The Bulls-Eye Washer Toss game can be played by between two and four players. Score the game individually for a two-player game. Pair up the players in teams of two, with one team member for each team standing by each of the washer targets. The score for the two players on each team is combined. The washer boxes should be placed 20 feet apart, but this distance can be adjusted to change the difficulty level.

    Scoring

    • The object of the game is to toss a washer into the cylindrical tube in the middle of the washer boss. Score three points for doing this. One player tosses all three of his washers first from behind the front end of the washer toss box in front of him, and then the other player tosses his three washers. Score one point for any washers that land in the box, but not in the cylinder. If a washer hits an obstacle on the way to the box, including the ground, it scores zero points. Only one player or team can score in each round. The player or team with the highest score for that individual round subtracts the opponent's score for that round from their score for their score for the round.

    Winning

    • The first player or team that scores 21 points wins the game. One option is to require the winning team to score 21 points exactly. If the winning team does not have a score of 21 exactly, their score reverts back to what it was at the beginning of the round.
