Dice
In order to play Toss Up, you need the Toss Up dice. These dice can be purchased at any board game store or at the Patch Products board game website (see Resources). Toss Up comes with 10 specially color-coded dice. Each die has 3 green sides, 2 yellow sides and 1 red side.
Game Play
In the Toss Up dice game, players take turns rolling the 10 color-coded dice. After a player rolls the dice, she counts the number that came up green and sets those aside. She earns 1 point for each green die she rolls. After each roll, players decide whether they want to keep the points they've earned and record them on the score sheet, or risk it all and re-roll the remaining dice for the chance at more points. A player can continue re-rolling until all dice come up green and she scores 10 points, or she decides to keep the points she's already scored, or she rolls at least 1 red die and no green--at which point she loses her score for that round.
Winning
When one player reaches a total of 100 points, every other player gets to play one more round in an attempt to beat her score. After each player takes his or her last roll, the player with the highest total points is declared the winner.
